Hands On

The workshop will provide hands-on training that combines creative arts instruction, digital media production, photography, filmmaking, visual storytelling, and arts integration within authentic outdoor environments.

Direct Instruction from Professionals

Participants will receive direct instruction and mentorship from a professional photographer/videographer and a professional artist who will provide industry-based training, creative guidance, and real-world insight into professional artistic practices. These professionals will model advanced techniques in composition, lighting, storytelling, visual design, creative workflow, and media production while helping educators strengthen both their technical and artistic abilities. Educators will gain valuable experience working alongside practicing creative professionals and learning how to translate these industry skills into engaging classroom instruction.

Real Results

The workshop will also provide educators with opportunities to collaborate with fellow teachers and industry professionals while exploring ways to connect creative arts education with career pathways in media arts, digital communications, tourism, environmental media, and content creation. Participants will gain experience using industry-standard equipment and techniques while developing curriculum ideas that engage students through experiential and place-based learning.

This training supports the goals of Proposition 28 by expanding educator capacity in the creative arts and increasing access to meaningful, high-quality arts instruction. By participating in immersive outdoor professional development, educators will return with enhanced technical skills, fresh instructional strategies, and innovative ideas that inspire student creativity, critical thinking, communication, and career readiness through the arts

Grayson Gregory

Growing up in Tennessee, I naturally developed a love for the outdoors, travel, music, and much more. As a result, my work became a blend of all these things. Over the years, that passion has led to commercial projects with brands like Orvis and Muck Boots, alongside a range of other outdoor and lifestyle brands. I have a deep passion for life and adventure, and this love pours out through my work. In my free time, you can usually find me with my family, dreaming of the next powder day, or looking for some type two fun.
